Dar has released 11 albums on labels since 1993 of highly literate, introspective folk-pop songs. We discuss “Berkeley” (and listen to “Today and Everyday”) from I’ll Meet You Here (2021), “Empty Plane” from Emerald (2015), and ” Are You Out There” from End of the Summer (1997). Intro: “As Cool As I Am” from Mortal City (1996). For info see darwilliams.com.

See the new video for “Today and Every Day.” Watch videos for her break-out song “When I Was a Boy” and the biggest hit, “As Cool as I Am,” as well as a re-recording of the latter with Gary Louris for Dar’s 2010 compilation Many Great Companions. Another classic tune with video from her Lilith years is “What Do You Hear in The Sounds.”

Here she is playing “Are You Out There” live in 2010. Here’s a full solo concert from 2018, and one from all the way back in 1994. Here she is live with a collaboration Cry, Cry, Cry.
