Mark’s Patreon Page: The Costs of Music and “Walled Off Space”

June 7, 2018 by Mark Lint Leave a Comment

Hey, NEM fans, I wanted to call your attention to a Patreon page I’ve just put up to support my own music production: www.patreon.com/marklint.

In my first post (which is free to all and not the kind of thing I’d be charging supporters for), I share one of my songs from my 2013 album Might Get It Right (with the band New People; you can find all three albums by that band on Spotify, Apple, etc.) and talk about the relatively low expenses involved in producing a song like that. I’d be very interested to hear from other indie artists re. how much they sink into their recordings and where that money comes from.

Thanks!
