Arrica RoseArrica and the …’s (pronounced DOT-DOT-DOTs) has released four albums and three EPs of floaty, poetic, California rock since 2006, and she’s also in a collaborative roots-rock project called Dear County.

We discuss “Whole Lotta Lows” and “X-Ray Eyes” from Low as the Moon (2017) and “When the Clouds Hang This Low” from Let Alone Sea (2011). We conclude by listening to “On and On” by Dear County from Low Country (2016). Intro music: “Sail Away” from Antebellum (2010). For more, visit arricarose.com and dearcounty.com.

Here’s the video to “Whole Lotta Lows” that we discuss. Here’s all of “Sail Away.” Here’s the band live in 2011. Here’s a cool cover she did of a Bee Gees song, and you may enjoy this interesting mash-up of two cover tunes. Arrica wanted me to avoid her earliest work in this interview, but I must say I’m very partial to her first album; here’s “Cats and Plants” from that. Here’s Dear County’s YouTube channel.
